The code you provided had the GC variable but doesnt make use of it anywhere. I would hazard to guess that after the sequence ssg; line you want to somehow calculate the GC of sequence. Once you have that you can print out the line with print OUTFILE geneNametGCn. If you need to view the files on Windows you might want to use rn instead.
